AGENDA FOR SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 FROM 2:00 - 4 P.M.CHANGING PERSONAL HISTORY
Human experience only exists in the present moment. The past exists as memories and to remember these we have to re-experience them in some way in the present. The future exists as expectations or fantasies, but again, created in the present. Change Personal History is a technique for re-evaluating troublesome memories in the light of present knowledge. We all have a rich personal history of past experiences that exist as memories in the present. While what actually happened cannot be changed, we can change its meaning for us in the present, and therefore its effect on our behavior and feelings. Any negative feeling we hold on to is almost always generated not from what actually happend, but from constructed images of what we believe happened. We then feel bad in response to those images. The images are real enough to cause some extreme reactions, even though they never happend. Change Personal History is useful when problem feelings or behavior keep recurring. The "Why do I keep doing this?" type of feeling. If you're up to an interesting experience, join me on Saturday, Janury 28th. AGENDA FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29For those of you who attended my December 1 workshop thank you for coming. My goal for the first workshop was to give an overview of what types of subjects we'll be covering in future workshops. Going forward I will be teaching one topic per workshop and the workshops will be interactive. During the first half I will cover a topic, then do a demonstration with someone from the audience, and then during the second part of the workshops you'll be able to experience what you have learned by working with others. The topic for December 29 will be "submodalities." Submodalities is about the qualities of our senses--they can be thought of as the most fundamental operating code of the human brain--seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, and smelling. It is not possible to think any thought or recall any experience without it having a submodality structure. Why is this important? Just by changing the structure of a thought, you can change how that thought makes you feel as well as your reaction to a past or present event. You can literally change an experience in a moment. The methodologies I will be teachings are most simplistic, but very powerful in impact. ONCE AN EVENT HAS HAPPENED, IT IS FINISHED AND WE CANNOT GO BACK AND CHANGE IT. AFTER THAT, WE ARE NOT RESPONDING TO THE EVENT ANY MORE, BUT RATHER TO OUR MEMORY OF THE EVENT, WHICH CAN BE CHANGED. Conscious vs. Nonconscious Brain
When the message your conscious brain puts out (such as written goals) competes with a message your nonconscious brain holds to be true (your beliefs, even if unstated), the nonconscious will win out. Nonconscious represents your beliefs. It’s like telling someone you love them with you teeth grit and your arms folded. Your life is your creation, and you created it through your beliefs. If you want to change your life, you have to change your beliefs. | A Breakthrough in your Life Begins with a Change of Beliefs
The primary purpose of my workshops is to provide you with tools and understanding on how you can change the way you think and feel with minimal effort. Also by helping you to understand how and why you make choices that don’t serve you, and how you can make different choices by accessing your natural abilities -- abilities that you already possess known as “resources,” and bring them into a present situation to empower you in the moment.
Many of us believe that we are held back in life by outside circumstances that we have no control over. I’m going to help you to understand why that is not true. I’m going to explain how we are not the product of our genetics. I’m going to teach you how to reprogram your thinking by using the strengths and abilities you already have within you. I’m going to help you understand how “what you believe” is the root to all your problems and how to take on new empowering beliefs. My goal for these workshops is to get each of you from a present undesirable state of mind to a new desired state of mind, which then causes your behaviors to change automatically. We do this naturally all throughout life anyway, so why not do it on command? The principles I teach are a culmination of my own personal experiences based on over twenty years of studying and practicing neuro linguistic programming (NLP) combined with studying neuroscience, recent brain research, genetics and more. My intent is the make the workshops informative, enlightening and fun. Even if you cannot attend every workshop, you will still walk away with understanding and tools that you can immediately start using to help change your life. But, don't believe anything I tell you. Come see for your self. The things we say to ourselves over and over—dozens, hundreds, thousands times--turn into a belief.
You’ll know when your nonconscious is getting in the way of what you want to be producing when you start doubting, having anxiety and fear about what you’re about to do. Anytime there is a disconnect between what your nonconscious is programmed to achieve and what your conscious mind wants you to achieve, you’ll start to feel doubt, fear and anxiety. This is normal--it's just your nonconscious brain sending you a signal based on your old conditioning to keep you safe within your learned boundaries. This can be easily bypassed when you know how. NLP produces exceptional results in the shortest time possible by harnessing the power of the subconscious mind to achieve outstanding results in any area of your life. It’s proven to be one of the most powerful tools available in the human potentiality field over the past 40 years. "Until you make the unconscious conscious,
it will direct your life and you will call it fate." --Dr. Carl Jung |
The ancient Toltec described the human mind as alive and dreaming all the time through a lens comprised of our beliefs, and experiences. True awareness of the power of what we believe reveals how hidden limiting beliefs may be driving our actions, and deeply affecting our experiences at every level. Our beliefs are energy that inhabits our body, mind, and spirit - a living dream with an emotional signature populated by specific agreements that define and defend every point of view.
don Miquel Ruize, M.D. and author of "The Four Agreements" says, "Every belief we have contains many agreements—personal laws about what we should do, what we shouldn’t do, and how everyone else is supposed to be. The old agreements that arise out of what we choose to believe can intensely affect our lives, but we don’t always remember how we came to our strongest beliefs. Even more confounding, many of the beliefs that powerfully guide our actions operate invisibly on a level far below what we are conscious of."
